Recycling &
Waste Management

We believe that everyone has a responsibility to the environment, which is why we strive to make business decisions that have a positive impact on people and our planet.

Globe Uniforms has entered into a partnership with Leigh Fibers to provide corporates in this region with an environmentally and commercially sustainable business solution of recycling used, unused and damaged uniforms and apparel.

This program facilitates the safe disposal of out-of-service uniforms / apparel that normally end up in landfills, saving the environment from harm. Old or unused garments are recycled into fiber pads that are used in the automotive industry and other end-user industries. The new process provides the customer with brand protection including documents for Chain of Custody, a Certificate of Destruction and information on the number of pounds that have been diverted from the landfill.

The Globe Group’s commitment to sustainability is deeply embedded in our values. Maintaining a balance between economic success, protection of the environment, and social responsibility has been fundamental to our corporate culture for decades. This approach applies to every business unit and function, and all our employees have firmly embraced the principles of sustainable development in their daily work and think and act accordingly.

How the Process Works

  • The uniforms to be recycled are collected and shipped to our distribution center
  • These uniforms are then sorted, packed and shipped on pallets to Leigh Fibers INC
  • The items to be recycled are packed and locked in a container until processing
  • Leigh Fibers recycles the uniforms into automobile and home insulation products as well as carpet padding material etcThe items to be recycled are packed and locked in a container until processing
